The summer heat won’t keep APNM indoors. Consider joining us as a visitor or a volunteer at several upcoming community outreach events that APNM will be attending:
Saturday, August 11, 2012: PUREBREDS AND FRIENDS ANIMAL ADOPTION EVENT at the Santa Fe Petsmart, 3561 Zafarano Drive, 10:00am-4:00pm. Purebred rescue groups from around the state will be bringing their most adoptable animals, and mixed-breeds from several shelters will be there as well.
Sunday, August 12, 2012: MOUNTAIN LION PRESENTATION in LOS ALAMOS, at the Environmental Education Center, 3540 Orange Street. Ken Logan of Colorado Wildlife Division comes to the Center to talk about these beautiful and threatened animals.
Saturday, August 18, 2012: WOOFSTOCK PET EXPO & ADOPTION FESTIVAL in EDGEWOOD, at the sports field by the Edgewood Elementary School, 10-4:00pm, Route 344 (north). A great community gathering to help animals.
Saturday, September 29, 2012: CORRALES HARVEST FESTIVAL, at the field by the Corrales Library, Corrales Road, 10-5:00pm – food, music, fun, and animal adoptions.
WE COULD USE YOUR HELP! If you have any interest in volunteering and taking a shift at any one of these outreach events, please contact APNM Outreach Coordinator, Hildegard Adams, or call (505) 265-2322, ext. 24
