Rally With Us to Save The Lobo at USFWS' Rescheduled Hearing November 20
Finally, Your Chance to Speak On Behalf of New Mexico's Mexican Gray Wolves
The U.S. Fish and Wildlfe Service's public hearing on sweeping changes proposed for wolf management, which was postponed from early October due to the government shutdown, has been rescheduled for November 20.
APNM and many of the Southwest's most prominent environment environmental groups will once again rally to give supporters of the lobos their long-delayed chance to speak against many changes that, if enacted, will remove Endangered Species Act protections for most gray wolves nationally and will threaten the wild recovery of New Mexico's Mexican gray wolves.
This is your best opportunity to tell USFWS loud and clear that wolves are irreplaceable to not only our landscapes, but also to our shared values as New Mexicans and Americans. Of the four scheduled hearings nationwide, Albuquerque's is the only one that would discuss Mexican wolves, North America's most endangered animal. Now more than ever we need YOU to speak up for the wolves and say that these proposals are unacceptable.
So join us November 20 for the Save the Lobo Rally, when we will gather to celebrate our lobos, and defend their right to live and prosper!
4 p.m.: Outreach and information in the Ocotillo 2 room
