“Team Teddy” members: Randi Bildner,
Charles Fox and Karol completed their
goal of 50 miles each!
|
"Brrrr" was the expression muttered by 2700 cyclists as they set out to ride the 26th annual Santa Fe Century. The temps were low and the headwind was strong, but determination won out in order to complete a goal.
No individual or team was more defiant than the three members of Animal Protection of New Mexico’s “Team Teddy”. “Team Teddy” rode for a cause: To support Animal Protection of New Mexico’s program that underwrites the cost of animal control officers to attend training through the National Animal Control Association. With Teddy and the wonderful people who pledged in our hearts, we succeeded!
In six years, APNM has underwritten over $75,000 in training scholarships and stipends for law enforcement officers across New Mexico.
The mission of the National Animal Control Association is to define and promote professionalism in the animal protection and humane law enforcement field by providing quality services, education, training, and support.
“The Teddy Fund,” established for this cause, lives on; those wishing to donate still can.
