Equine Protection Fund: Equine Care Support for Shelters and Government Agencies

Eligibility: currently available to equine rescues licensed and inspected in New Mexico, and to government agencies, including tribal governments, in New Mexico. This financial assistance is to help support necessary veterinary and/or farrier care for equines who have been abandoned, or equines who have been taken in, with the goal of preventing further suffering from cruelty, and/or unrelieved pain without treatment.

Directions: please complete this form and submit. You will receive a response to your submission within two weeks, or less, depending on the type of the request, and the documentation submitted. If you have any questions or difficulty with this process, please call us at 505-803-3770 or email us. We may be able to pay or reimburse for a portion, or the entirety of the bill, depending on the total cost, available funding, and trends. Thank you for caring for equines.
