Information: Roswell Humane Society Spay/Neuter Program Requirements:

  • Proof of income required (1 month check stubs, or taxes for all in house hold).
  • Valid I.D. must be shown at time of voucher being issued.
  • Depending on the what your income qualifies for depends on how much off the sterilization of your cat or dog the voucher will help with.
  • This does not include any pain medication, antibiotics, etc.
  • There is still a limit as to how many vouchers a household can be issued (5 at home pets)
  • You must be a Chaves county resident​.
  • You can NOT use the program if your animal is at the Roswell Humane Society or Roswell Animal Shelter shelter.
  • You can NOT use the program to help assist in any adoption.

Information: The Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society offers low-cost spay and neuter programs to help ensure fewer unwanted puppies and kittens and to help with overall health of pets. There are limited no-cost spay or neuter surgeries available for qualified families. All services are by appointment only and with curbside check in for your convenience. For more information or to schedule an appointment, text 505.474.6422 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
