Mobile clinics can be arranged. 3 veterinary locations: Small Animal Hospital in Angel Fire, Trinidad Animal Clinic (will also take NM clients) and High Horse Ranch Veterinary Clinic in Gardner, CO (will also take NM clients); Free TNR for neighborhood cats in rural communities in Las Animas and Huerfano Counties in SE Colorado. Public education programs provided. Colfax County residents welcome at free TNR clinics at Trinidad Animal Clinic and High Horse Ranch Veterinary Clinic. $40 rebate for purchase of humane trap; $20 rebate to transport TNR cats to and from participating vet clinics; Free mobile clinic spay/neuter services to cats and dogs in Huerfano and Las Animas County households. Information: Low-cost spay/neuter available for dogs and cats – no income restriction for clients. Serving Raton, Springer, Cimarron, Maxwell, Wagon Mound and Clayton areas. Two programs available: 1) (year-round) Client pays half, Humane Society pays half; 2) On the first Saturday in May each year, $35 spay/neuter certificates that are valid for one year may be purchased. Spay/neuter services must be provided by veterinary clinic within Raton – cannot be done outside of Raton if going through either program. RHS has initiated TNR for feral cats where any person may trap a cat and take them to Raton Veterinary Hospital (exclusive relationship) for further TNR assistance.
