Information: You will need to obtain a Spay/Neuter Voucher from HSLC first. To qualify for this low-cost program, you will need the following:
- Proof of income (last 2 paycheck stubs or W-2)
- A copy of EBT or Medicaid card
- A co-payment of $45 is required, with a maximum of 2 animals per year. Proof of current rabies, DHPP/FDVCR vaccines. These can be purchased at owners’ expense at Veterinarian clinic of your choice.
Once you obtain your Voucher from HSLC you will be responsible to call and make an appointment with your Veterinarian. The Voucher is only valid for 30 days so we ask that you make your appointment as soon as possible. If your Voucher expires you will need to purchase a second Voucher from HSLC.

Information: AnimalVillageNM has had to temporarily suspend registrations for this crucial service, due to funding shortages. Low-cost spay/neuter program via PAW is administered through Animal Village NM. Registration for program is every Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 2 pm to 4 pm by PAW representative, Lisa Yehle. Income requirement is combined total family income equal to or less than $30,000.00 per year. Pets must be up to date on vaccinations. If not vaccinated, arrangements may be made to have animal vaccinated on day of surgery. Spay/neuter surgery cost is $45 copay and PAW will cover the rest – this does not include vaccination costs. Services are available for Otero and Lincoln Counties.
