They periodically offer a low cost/no cost spay and neuter program to the citizens of San Juan County. The program is income based and uses household income to determine eligibility and price.
You must bring in a filed tax return or Medicaid/Medicare card for proof of income. You must also bring in proof of residency such as an electric bill. After you send in proof of income/residency and fill out paperwork the surgery will be scheduled.
Household incomes over $60,000/yr do not qualify for the program. They also offer vaccines at the time of surgery only for $10 per vaccine.

Information: San Juan Animal League is committed to providing affordable spay/neuter surgeries to the animals of the Four Corners Region. However, due to the increasing fees for medical supplies and the increase in wages the organization has slightly raised fees.
The organization is currently scheduling 2-3 months out. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and do not provide 48 hours prior notice they will not refund your payment
Animals must not weigh more than 70 pounds and weigh at least 2 pounds, if they weigh more than 70 lbs you will have to pay an extra $150 at the time of the surgery or may be turned away forfeiting your deposit. It is your responsibility to accurately fill out the appointment request.
