Information: Low-cost spay/neuter, cats only, available to qualified low-income persons. Contact for application form. Mobile clinics can be arranged. 3 veterinary locations: Small Animal Hospital in Angel Fire, Trinidad Animal Clinic (will also take NM clients) and High Horse Ranch Veterinary Clinic in Gardner, CO (will also take NM clients); Free TNR for neighborhood cats in rural communities in Las Animas and Huerfano Counties in SE Colorado. Public education programs provided. Colfax County residents welcome at free TNR clinics at Trinidad Animal Clinic and High Horse Ranch Veterinary Clinic. $40 rebate for purchase of humane trap; $20 rebate to transport TNR cats to and from participating vet clinics; Free mobile clinic spay/neuter services to cats and dogs in Huerfano and Las Animas County households. Information: The Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society offers low-cost spay and neuter programs to help ensure fewer unwanted puppies and kittens and to help with overall health of pets. There are limited no-cost spay or neuter surgeries available for qualified families. All services are by appointment only and with curbside check in for your convenience.
