Information: For spay/neuter, Espanola Humane does require an appointment. The organization offers free surgeries to pets in Española, Rio Arriba County, and the surrounding Pueblos. To schedule a single pet, they ask that you pay $20 deposit that will be refunded after surgery. If you have multiple pets, they ask for a $40 deposit. Deposits from those who fail to show for their appointments will be considered donations. If you need to reschedule, please leave a message within 48 business hours of your scheduled surgery. The clinic is open for services on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Information: The Santa Fe Animal Shelter and Humane Society offers low-cost spay and neuter programs to help ensure fewer unwanted puppies and kittens and to help with overall health of pets. There are limited no-cost spay or neuter surgeries available for qualified families. All services are by appointment only and with curbside check in for your convenience.
